The Canadian Clean Energy Economy survey is being conducted by Navius Research on behalf of Clean Energy Canada, a climate and clean energy think tank at the Morris J Wosk Centre for Dialogue. The survey is officially closed. Any new submissions will be considered for future updates to our work.
You can access the survey by clicking here.
Information about the survey is available below. If you have any further questions, please feel free to contact us at [email protected].
How do we define clean energy?
We define clean energy as the technologies, services and resources that increase renewable energy supply, enhance energy productivity, improve the infrastructure and systems that transmit, store and use energy and delivery key energy services – power, heat and transportation – while reducing carbon pollution. Natural gas and nuclear energy would not be included, but technologies that reduce emissions such as more efficient furnaces, methane reduction or carbon capture and storage, would be.
Why is the survey being conducted?
The survey is being conducted to fill information gaps about the clean energy economy in Canada.
Established economic data typically do not differentiate between companies contributing to the clean energy economy and those that don’t. We are therefore conducting a survey to help fill in the gaps.
Who is conducting the survey?

How will survey data be used?
The data shared with us will be used by Clean Energy Canada to help inform government, the private sector and the public about the state of clean energy in Canada.
All individual survey responses will be treated as confidential by Navius Research and will be anonymized and aggregated with those of other companies operating within each clean sector.
