Brianne Riehl, Managing Director

Brianne joins Navius with a background in environmental science and policy, and an interest in contributing to well-informed and well-designed climate and energy policy.

She has experience working for one of Canada’s leading clean energy think tanks, where she conducted research and engaged with stakeholders to support climate policy in Canada, with a focus on clean energy technologies, carbon pricing, government accountability, and energy policy modeling. Brianne also has experience conducting climate and ecological modeling for forest management, and has collaborated in various roles with governments, local communities, businesses, academics, and industry to implement conservation and climate change solutions.

She holds a Master of Science in Environmental Policy from the London School of Economics and Political Science, and a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science from the University of British Columbia.

Outside the office, Brianne enjoys taking advantage of B.C.’s mountains and practicing yoga. She is also President of Earthsave Canada, a Vancouver-based charity advocating for a sustainable diet.

Sam joins Navius from Auckland, New Zealand, bringing with him a diverse background of quantitative, analytical and modeling experience in both the private and public sectors. Sam has a conjoint Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering Science, Economics and Finance from the University of Auckland. His Engineering studies focused on mathematical modeling, optimization and data science.
