Nima Alizadeh, Analyst I
Nima is an energy-economic modeler interested in using integrated frameworks to evaluate policies and their wider impacts.
Prior to his current role, he conducted energy modeling at Iran’s Ministry of Power to support the development of national transition roadmaps. His work involved integrating technology-rich energy system models with macroeconomic frameworks to assess the economy-wide impacts of climate policy.
Nima holds a Master of Science in Energy and Environmental Engineering from the University of Calgary, where his research focused on developing cost-reduction frameworks for Direct Air Capture (DAC) and its role in achieving net-zero targets within Canada’s energy system.
In his free time, Nima can be found playing tennis or soccer, or unwinding with video games.
