Douglas Bryan, Senior Project Manager

Douglas Bryan is a Project Manager at Navius and provides experience in environmental economics, energy markets and regulation. He has advised governments and private sector clients as an economic consultant, and has previously worked for the B.C. Climate Action Secretariat, Fisheries and Oceans Canada, and the Rwanda Mines, Petroleum and Gas Board.

Douglas has a strong understanding of electricity and gas markets, energy network regulation, and climate policy. His project experience includes designing regulatory tools to enable low-carbon technology uptake, modeling shocks to electricity and gas systems, and quantifying the economic impacts of electricity interties. He has helped develop wholesale electricity market models for the Irish, Australian and British energy markets, and has worked with whole system energy models across North America and Europe.

Douglas holds an MSc (Distinction) in Environmental Economics from the London School of Economics and a BA (First Class) in Economics with a minor in Commerce from the University of British Columbia.

He is also an avid footballer, and a big fan of his hometown club, Aston Villa.

Sam Pallas

Sam joins Navius from Auckland, New Zealand, bringing with him a diverse background of quantitative, analytical and modeling experience in both the private and public sectors. Sam has a conjoint Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering Science, Economics and Finance from the University of Auckland. His Engineering studies focused on mathematical modeling, optimization and data science.
