Summary
Navius produced modeling for the Canadian Climate Institute (CCI) to assess the impact of the Canada-Alberta Memorandum of Understanding (MOU). The analysis highlights that while the MOU significantly changes Canada’s climate policy landscape, it has limited impact on national greenhouse gas emissions. This is largely driven by increased emissions from expanded pipeline capacity and higher oil production.
