Summary
The Net Zero Advisory Body (NZAB) asked the Canadian Climate Institute (CCI) to identify options for achieving additional emissions reductions by 2030 in order to close the gap between expected emissions under policies announced in the 2030 Emissions Reduction Plan (ERP) and Canada’s 2030 emissions target. CCI commissioned Navius to identify potential cost-effective emissions reductions and explore how adjustments and additions to the currently proposed ERP can be used to close the gap. The below insight and technical annex outline key findings from the modeling.
