Navius Research and the Canadian Climate Institute reviewed the Fraser Institute’s recent study on the impact of industrial carbon pricing in Canada and found that the modeling results presented by the Fraser Institute raise important questions about the modeling’s credibility. This op-ed outlines key concerns with the modeling methodology used for their analysis, including economic impacts, inconsistent sector impacts with policy assumptions, and other assumptions that may be biasing impacts upwards.
